After more than a decade of chipping away at renovation projects for their countryside home in Everson, Washington, Grant and Tara were near completing their home’s interior — save for the projects involving cabinets.
With busy lives and four kids in tow, the couple needed a competent, reliable cabinet maker to uncomplicate this element of their remodel.
“Throughout our home renovation, we had a really hard time with subcontractors,” Tara said. “We were often left in the dark, asking for information instead of being kept up to speed on the specific stage of the project.”
Through mutual connections in their local community, Grant and Tara connected with HighCraft’s Production Manager, Eric Van Hofwegen.
“Out of all of the subcontractors we worked with, if Eric said he was going to be here at a specific time on Monday, he’d be here at that time on Monday,” Tara said. “He always got back to me quickly on my questions whether by email or text, and always called right away if we needed to discuss a change or update by phone.”
Within the context of the home’s modern farmhouse theme, Eric provided recommendations on Grant and Tara’s kitchen range hood design, length of drawer pulls, and how to incorporate crown moulding while accounting for the existing ceiling slope, Tara said.
“Eric’s communication was awesome, and beyond this, he was honest. Everything he said would happen, happened — and it was done on time, which was refreshing.”
